• Do you offer helpful tips for using the Spin and Spiral Art Station?

  Our experts recommend the following tips for best results.

  • A little ink goes a long way! A few drops of the ink is all you need for your masterpiece.
  • Don't pump too fast. This could cause your unit to skip. If this happens, slow down and start again.
  • After you're finished creating, clean your unit by wiping it with a paper towel.
  • Use the storage compartment on the bottom of the base to stay organized.

• Do you have any tips to help Colourwhirls Spin Properly?

  Learning a new technique can take practice, but we have some tips that can help. the harder and faster you pull the ripcord, the longer it will spin. Aim the marker tip close to the paper and keep the Colourwhirl parallel to the surface before launching it for a more controlled and steady spin.

• Are refills available for the Crayola Spin and Spiral Art Station?

  Although refills are not sold separately, we have DIY solutions below so you can keep the creative fun going!

  • Paper Discs: The paper discs are 6" in diameter. Trace one of your original discs on a paper plate and cut it out.
  • Ink: Washable Crayola Paint diluted with water is your go-to solution!
    • Although we do not recommend removing the nozzles from the ink bottles, dilute the paint with water in a washable paint cup or use a plastic squeeze bottle. Mix the water and paint with a disposable spoon. Use the spoon to drop the paint onto a paper disc to create your masterpieces. Discard any unused diluted paint after use.

• Is it safe to use Crayola art materials to make lipstick, eyeliner, and other makeup?

  As a manufacturer of children's products, safety is our top priority at Crayola. Although our arts and crafts products are nontoxic, we do not recommend using them to make eyeliner, lipstick, or other makeup, and strongly discourage using them this way. Crayola art products were never intended to be used on the skin or face in this manner.

  
  

  Makeup goes through specific and rigorous testing since it is intended to be used on the skin. Because they were never meant to be used as makeup, our colored pencils, crayons, markers, paint, and all art products have not been tested in the same way a makeup product is and should not be used as a cosmetic. Crayola art materials are not designed, tested, or approved for this purpose.

• Are Crayola and Silly Putty products nontoxic to animals?

  If your pet has ingested a Crayola or Silly Putty product, please contact a veterinarian for assistance. All Crayola and Silly Putty products have been evaluated by an independent toxicologist and found to contain no known toxic substances in sufficient quantities to be harmful to the human body, even if ingested or inhaled.
